TOUR CANCELLED
The Frontier Touring Company regret to inform that Albert Hammond Jr’s forthcoming Australian tour has been cancelled.
Albert is suffering a severe throat infection that has resulted in him losing his voice. He has been advised against performing by his doctor.
The tour was due to commence in Melbourne this Wednesday, with shows following in Sydney, Brisbane and at Byron Bay’s Splendour In The Grass. All shows are now cancelled including Albert’s appearance at Splendour.
All patrons holding tickets to any of the shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane can seek a refund from the original point of sale.
Frontier will be looking toward rescheduling the shows later in the year.
********************************
The Frontier Touring Company is pleased to confirm that Albert Hammond, Jr. will perform three headline shows, in addition to his performance at 2008’s Splendour In The Grass festival. This bright young thing will play live in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane this July/August.
Perhaps best known for his place in The Strokes’ line up, Albert Hammond, Jr. has spent the last few years establishing himself as a solo artist in his own right. 2006’s Yours To Keep received rave reviews, and now Albert Hammond, Jr. returns with his sophomore record ¿Cómo Te Llama? (released July 5 through Remote Control).
Building on the foundations laid by Yours To Keep, ¿Cómo Te Llama? portrays a further maturity to Albert Hammond, Jr.’s music, as he explores more blues, more rock, and more diversity creating his most accomplished record to date.
On his maiden voyage Down Under as a solo artist, expect to hear your favourites from Yours To Keep and your soon-to-be favourites from ¿Cómo Te Llama?.
Destined to sell out, secure your tickets when they go on sale Monday 30 June.
Pre-sale tickets will be available from Thursday 26 June. Please visit our Members Area for further details.
